The Greater Mekong subregion (Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Myanmar, Laos, and Yunnan, China) has avoided the worst of the Covid-19 pandemic with relatively low infection rates. Still, like every other region around the world, tourism ground to a shuddering halt. Now the region is slowly but surely reopening to domestic tourism.
Charlie Kao, Publisher of TravelMole Media Group moderates the first of two live discussions on the tourism recovery with Jens Thraenhart, executive director of Mekong Tourism, and key tourism leaders from across the Greater Mekong.
Hear about updates on the reopening plans of key destinations, when travellers from SE Asia, UK and Europe, and North America will likely be welcomed back, health and social distancing policies at attractions, and the current status of Mekong cruises.
