Operator wont take part in Black Friday or Cyber Monday

Escorted tour operator Titan Travel will not take part in Black Friday or Cyber Monday, saying the events are ‘filled with limited time only discounts and offers’.

Instead, it says it is ‘business as usual’, offering over 400 escorted tours and cruises which are guaranteed by its price promise.

Managing director Andy Squirrell, pictured, said: “We strongly believe that the best prices should be available all year round, not just a couple of days a year.

“Titan Travel’s Price Promise was created to provide travellers with the confidence and assurance that they will always secure the best price for their holiday at the time of booking.

“It is a general rule of thumb that holiday prices increase closer to departure date and so Titan travellers will always get the best possible price the earlier they book.

“Should the price of a holiday become cheaper post booking, we will automatically refund the customer the difference – in cash! With Titan, the early bird really does catch the best price.”

Titan’s price promise is included in every Titan holiday and protects customers right up until the day of travel, meaning customers will never pay more than a last-minute offer.

In the event the price does drop after booking, Titan will contact each customer to inform them of the new price and automatically refunds the difference.

If the full balance of a holiday has yet to be paid, a new invoice will be sent to the customer reflecting the reduced price.

Last week, park operator Bridge Leisure urged the industry to ditch Black Friday in favour of Sunshine Monday.

Which? Travel has warned people looking for Black Friday holiday bargains that the deals may not be as good as they first appear.
