VisitScotland has promoted Vicki Miller as its new director of marketing.
Miller replaces Charlie Smith who left to join Scottish Enterprise.
She has been with the tourism body since 2005 when she joined as area director, managing the Tayside team.
In 2007 she moved back into a marketing-focused role leading on local and customer experience marketing activity.
Before that Miller worked for the Dumfries & Galloway Tourist Board, holding the positions of head of marketing and visitor services and acting chief executive.
Malcolm Roughead, chief executive of VisitScotland said: “Vicki has been with VisitScotland for 14 years and has made a tremendous contribution over that time. Her extensive experience and expertise will help us build on a critical part of our ambition for Scotland to become a world class visitor destination.
“An excellent role model and ambassador for our organisation, Vicki is well respected among staff and many stakeholders across Scotland. I believe her personal and professional commitment to this role will help us meet our goal of delivering sustainable and inclusive growth to the Scottish economy.”
